Learn to Skate Group Lessons

Want to learn-to-skate?

Pines Ice Arena offers classes for the recreational, figure and hockey skater.
We offer an 8-week and a 3-week class for skaters.
Skaters are not required to take the 3-week class prior to the 8-week class.
The 3-week class is suggested for those who wish to try the sport for the first time. This is taught in group format.
Skaters are taught basic skills such as, standing on skates, gliding forward, stopping and many other skills.

The 8-week class is a structured class, limited to the maximum of 12 skaters per class to one coach and an assistant, if needed. Skater's are tested for the skills taught to them during the 8-week session. Each skater will receive a certificate upon completion and proceed to the next level. Aspiring hockey players are also encouraged to start in the 8-week program to prepare them for Introduction to Pre-Hockey.
